“Oh Lord you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help” Psalm 86:5
My pastor quoted this verse in one of his sermons several years ago, and just getting back into the church after my in church, out of the church phase, I decided I was going to memorize this verse.
I wrote it down and posted this verse on my computer at work so I could see it often, I read it first thing in the morning and as often as I could throughout the day.
Joshua 1:8 – 9 says, “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command — be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the
I love the promises in this verse, “study” and “meditate” day and night and “you will be sure to obey everything written in it.”
As I continued to commit Psalms 86:5 to memory, it started to change my behavior. I started to become more forgiving and I started to “willingly” help others with love.
As the events, started to unfold in my life, I started to realize how studying and meditating on the Word of God would start changing my behavior.
The interesting thing about this was that these changes in behavior just happened. I didn’t have to think about them, it just started to happen. And I am finding this to happen with more frequency.
I am grateful for the grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I will continue to “study” and “meditate” on God’s Word and I look forward to what God has in store for me.
Amen and Amen!!
